5 These Yoga Poses Can Increase Blood Circulation

To be more energetic physically and mentally, carrying out activities to increase blood flow throughout the body is one of the usual methods.

Over the past few decades, it has been known that yoga is one of the many activities that tend to improve blood circulation.

Common poses in yoga movements that are known to improve blood circulation are poses leg up to the wall. However, there are many other poses which can also have the same function.

The following are some of the poses that can improve your blood circulation, as reported by the Medical Daily on Friday (6/14/2019).

Seated Twist Pose

This pose tends to temporarily cut off blood circulation to the digestive organs and detoxification organs, then immediately receives blood flow, and produces stimulation of important elements.

To do this pose, you need to sit with both legs stretched out in front. Keep your spine straight. Then, lift and bend your right leg over the left foot, while gently rotating the body.

Forward Fold Pose

Forward folds are perfect yoga poses to increase mental clarity and energy freshness. This pose allows blood circulation to the upper part of your body, like your brain.

Start with mountain poses, exhale and slowly fold forward. You have to bend your elbows while holding on to each one at the same time. You can sway from side to side or you can hold this pose for about a minute or more.

Plow Pose

The pose plow effectively recirculates blood from the bottom of your body to the top.

The method is simple, lie on your back on the mat with your hands stretched to the side. Gently lift your legs and chest up with the support of your arms, back and shoulders.

Pigeon Pose

Pigeon pose is a leg stretch that will open your hips. Called a pigeon pose because it is similar to a dove.

To do this, stretch your legs back and bend the legs next to them in front. Align your hips and fold forward, while your forehead rests on your hands. With this pose, hold it for about five minutes. Then do the same thing with a different foot position.

Happy Baby Pose

This pose is the perfect choice if you want to improve blood circulation to the lower body, and root chakra. The root chakra is responsible for the security and stability of the body.

This pose is probably the easiest to do. Start with a flat back on a yoga mat. Bend your knees and take your feet through the outer edge.
